Homo Sapiens, our modern man, have been found to immigrate to the continent of Europe 42,000 to 44,000 years ago. Italy has produced informationfrom tiny teeth found in a cave that had originally been thought to belong to Neanderthals. A cave in England produced a jawbone of a homo sapiens with the age of 41,500 to 44,200 years.
Neanderthal became extinct only 30,000 years ago, showing that the two types lived together at the time time. Recent genome work found interbreeding that had taken place in the Middle East.
